Harrison's profession as a photographer started when he was 24. It took him that long to realize that this process of making images is what fuels his inner being. With this being his inspiration, his first introduction to photography came at the hands of his best friend handing him a Minolta SRT 101 and asking him to take pictures and document our flight/trip to Mountain Home Arkansas. He had no idea how anything worked, but soon learned he loved the challenge of running the camera. This exposure to cameras and the image making process became the catalyst of becoming a professional photographer.
From that point his only wish was to become a professional photographer's assistant in New York City. He quit his well- paying job to be an assistant photographer for a large fashion catalog house in New York City. He knew he made the right decision when on his first day was introduced to one of the most famous models in the world at the time, Iman ... now wife of David Bowie. This training is what laid the ground work for his solid technical background and perseverance to acquire the best images possible. Moving on years later to work with one on the most respected editorial fashion photographers of the 1970-80s, Eric Boman. It is here he learned that photography is not just numbers and formulas, but transpires feelings and emotions. Learning to recognize good light and being at the ready to capture that fleeting moment of time is now part of Harrison's life.
Since that young age of 24, Harrison has made his living with photography. Every dollar he's earned has come from his eye pressed against the back of a camera. His accolades in life did not come from winning awards and plaques, but from satisfying generations of clients from all walks of life, translating their abstract visions in their heads to images that are produced from a camera. In the early days, these were recorded on film and today - which adds a breath of fresh air - the world of digital photography. Harrison has worked for national retailers for most of his life, both nationally and internationally. His visions as a photographer has rewarded him with travels to many parts of the United States as well as Europe, Mexico, the Caribbean and Australia. Harrison has photographed some of the world's most beautiful models in some of the most exotic places on our planet.
Currently, Harrison's specialty is wedding photography, but he also does family events and portraits as well as commercial & corporate photography.
Harrison has lived in Northern New Jersey all his life. Along with photography, he shares other pursuits including being a Private Pilot.
LISA & BRIAN – SAVE THE DATE
Lisa & Brian – Their Wedding Takes Off
Lisa & Brian’s wedding as you may have guessed is May 12,2017. I know Lisa & Brian cannot wait for their wedding and either can I. We set out on April 16, 2016 to take the Save the Date images after weeks of delays because of scheduling and awful weather. Lisa wanted cherry blossoms and Mother Nature gave all she could after a couple of cold fronts froze the blossoms to an early demise. I think things worked out.
Their wedding is going to be at the Meadow Wood Manor in Randolph, NJ. I have heard from Brian that Lisa has their wedding planned down to the last detail. I believe this to be true because she styled her “Save the Date” photo shoot as well as a professional photo stylist. I think the wedding will be off the hook as can possible be. Congratulations to Lisa & Brian.
